Boracay has really turned more into a nightlife scene. The beach could be better but the nightlife is still amazing, especially during Christmas time. There are some nice hidden gems along the long strip of restaurants and stores that are locally owned. Definitely give it another chance and try not to stay at a hostel and always fly to Caticlan.
